DRIVER - PICK UP AND DELIVERY

Job description

National electronics, art and textile restoration company specializing in the restoration of both commercial and residential items is seeking a reliable, intelligent, and diligent person with preferably Electronics and/or Appliance experience to join our company.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

Lead a team and communicate with the customer, contractor and adjuster while setting a plan for the pick up or delivery

Disassemble, disconnect, pack out, and transport appliances and electronics, textiles and art to be cleaned / serviced / restored

Ability to drive 16 - 26 foot box truck and have a current DOT / Ability to lift up to 75 pounds / Ability to handle delicate/fragile items

Able to use electronic device (iPad, laptop) Must communicate clearly. Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and lead a team of drivers in daily operations
- Load and unload goods from trucks or vans
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks (16ft and 26ft) and vans
- Plan and execute efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Provide exceptional customer service with exceptional written and verbal skills during pick up and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role and 21 years or older with a clean, neat, and professional appearance
- Proficient in manual transmission vehicles
- Experience with route driving and navigating using GPS systems
- Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods

Skills:

- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record with a valid driver's license Experience in any of the following: computers / consumer electronics / appliances / TVs / commercial equipment
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as, multitasking
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
