We're looking for a passionate and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team in Sodus, NY, and help us continue our mission to make the world a better place.
A Quality Control Technician is responsible for incoming raw material, Work in Progress, and Finish Goods inspection to determine all products adhere to standards. This job involves working with Operations, Logistics, R&D, and other plant personnel as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate production equipment with constant attention towards safety, product quality and line efficiency.
- Be able to interpret related quality and safety procedures, including production work instructions, material specification sheets and work task hazard assessments.
- Routinely conduct quality control testing on finished products and record process conditions.
- Lead production line start-ups, shutdowns, and line changeovers.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machine/quality related problems through approved process adjustments.
- Perform the general maintenance and cleaning of Production equipment.
- Identify maintenance issues and submit work order requests to the Maintenance Department.
- Complete/contribute to process improvement projects within the Plant.
- Maintain the standards of Prism Worldwide with regards to quality, material presentation, contamination control and cleanliness.
- Follow all company safety rules, operating procedures, and policies.
Competencies:
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Previous experience as a production operator is desirable
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude to work effectively within a small, entrepreneurial team that is in a strong growth phase.
- Self-driven, strong sense of urgency, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
