As a Certified Surgical Technologist at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment. You will also be required to monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies, working effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Prepare patients for surgery by explaining procedures and answering questions
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and sutures
• Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, including proper disposal of biohazardous waste
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a valid CST certification from NBSTSA, 1 year of experience as a CST or surgical technologist, and strong communication and teamwork skills. You must also be able to commit to a minimum of two days of call per week and one to two weekends every six weeks, depending on the need. Guaranteed hours are available, with the option to take off one shift per two weeks.
