Job Summary
To provide a structured use of art activities to influence changes in maladaptive conditions of behavior patterns thereby assisting patients achieve therapeutic goals. To provided weekly structured art therapy and one time encounters to oncology patients.Accountabilities
- Provides one-time art therapy encounter sessions. Assesses patient needs or disorders, using drawing, painting, sculpting, or other artistic processes. - 25%
- Leads weekly structured art therapy group, providing guided self-expression experiences to help clients recover from or cope with cognitive, emotional, or physical impairments. - 25%
- Evaluates and assesses patients using defined target goals and objectives. - 25%
- Provides direct service to patients based on need and maintains documentation of interactions. Observes and documents client reactions, progress, or other outcomes related to art therapy. - 25%
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in Art Therapy; Master's degree in Art Therapy preferred.
Experience - One (1) year in Art Therapy.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
- Provisional; Registered Art Therapist (ART-Provisional), Registered Art Therapists (ATR), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and Art Therapy Certified Supervisors (ATCS).
