Job Summary
Develops effective tools, mechanisms, and working relationships to market the bariatric surgical program of Prisma Health to the general public, medical professionals, and area medical practices. Work effectively and efficiently with associates, insurance companies and patients to achieve authorizations for bariatric surgical procedures.
Essential Functions

Fields initial inquiries via email, phone, referrals, and walk-ins regarding bariatric surgical program and disperse program information.
Obtains pre-authorizations for bariatric surgery through working closely with associates, patients, and other medical professionals.
Acts as "point-person" and works in conjunction withPrisma HealthMarketing Department to develop, produce, and review materials to market bariatric surgical program.
Facilitates enrollment appointments and compile program information for bariatric surgical program. Schedules initial enrollment appointment and new evaluations with dietitian, psychologist, and surgeon and follow patient surgical clearances.
Maintains database and compile data for detailed weekly reports outlining practice progression and patient program status.
Works in conjunction withPrisma HealthPhysician Liaison to market bariatric surgical program to area medical practices through office visits.
Participates in annual events such as Every Woman Seminar, Walk for Obesity, and South Carolina Business Coalition on Health.
Initiates contact with patients and general public to coordinateattendanceduring bi-monthly information sessions
Maintains bariatric surgical program website in conjunction withPrisma Healthstandards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Post High School Education up to 18 months. Business related field of study.
Experience - One (1) year marketing and / or sales experience
