Job Summary
Prepares financial and business-related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance. Prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in a health care setting. Utilizes PC and/or mainframe-based systems and software; compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed. Conducts special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analysis.Essential Functions

Attends monthly Internal Financial Review. Prepares monthly financials, including current period performance, in-depth financial trend and variance analysis, and profit and loss (P&L) analysis.
Develops annual operating budget including volumes, revenue, FTEs, salary, supply, and other expenses in accordance with system profitability targets. Reviews and monitors budget input and spread to minimize budget error. Provides support to Management in the development of the Capital Budget.
Works closely with Administrator/Director and departmental leadership to provide financial support for issues pertinent to department operations and provides support as needed to assist in daily financial operations.
Monitors charge capture, documentation, billing timeliness and accuracy. Assists the Reimbursement dept. with issues regarding the charge master to maximize reimbursement. Communicates charge information/issues to departments.
Performs any requested special projects, including proformas, process improvement initiatives, strategic planning, and the development of EPSI queries.
Works with other departments within the system, including the Planning dept. in completion of DHEC's Joint Annual Report, Management Engineering for issues regarding staffing levels, and others in completion of system-wide goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
Experience - Three (3) years of finance, accounting or related experience
In Lieu Of
CPA or master's degree in healthcare, Finance, Business or Accounting with two (2) years related experience.
