Job Summary
Maintains days outstanding at or below established organization standards. Performs duties of billing, collection, customer service, and / or support service in a timely accurate manner. Maintains public relations with patients and third party payors in accordance with company excellence.
Essential Functions
Performs duties related to billing, collection, customer services and support services. 70%
Maintains and fosters effective public relations with patient and public in accordance with Service Excellence. 10%
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, in-service meetings, current literature and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 5%
Identifies trends and communicates problems to management. 10%
Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards. 5%
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma / highest degree earned
Experience - 2 years - billing, collections and / or customer service
In Lieu Of
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Billing and collections trainingrelated to Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance.
Medical Terminology, ICD9 and CPT code training.
Customer Service training. - Preferred
