Job Summary
Responsible for scheduling patients requiring admission, diagnostics and treatment services, and classes provided by Prisma Health.
Essential Functions

Coordinates the scheduling of patients requiring admission, diagnostic procedures or classes. Sequences multipletests / procedures as needed. Gathers all required patient demographic, clinical and financial information. Coordinates appointments and classes with the appropriate clinical and clerical staff.
Coordinates physician scheduling with the on-call schedulers
Follows protocols for "day of", prep instructions, emergencies, and rescheduling.
Communicates with physician office representatives in a professional and efficient manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education - High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned
Experience - Three (3) yearsrelated work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with medical terminology
Proficient in use of telephone equipment, voicemail, and Windows
Medical office, multi-physician practice, or in-patient medical unit experience- Preferred
