Job Summary

The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for participating in and supervising the nutrition support service process related to the Clinical Nutrition Department. The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for training the dietitians for accurate documentation for quality initiatives such as malnutrition.The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor provides patient nutrition care. Conducts nutrition support research and serves as a resource for clinical nutrition topics for the dietitians and other disciplines. Accountabilities

• Supervises the nutrition support service team processes and adult care dietitians. 30%
• Provides patient nutrition care. 30%
• Trains the adult care dietitians on accurate documentation of malnutrition to ensure quality measures are met for reimbursement.10%
• Serves as an expert resource on clinical nutrition topics and provides information to dietitians and other disciplines. 10%
• Prepares the schedule for the adult care dietitians to accommodate nutrition support and patient care needs. 5%
• Participates in quality patient care committees as needed. 5%
• Collaborates with the Manager of Clinical Nutrition & Informatics on team member performance. 5%
• Conducts nutrition support research. 5%
