Essential Functions:
- Supports the design and development of electronic products by assisting in various tasks such as PCB design, circuit simulation, embedded programming, and testing.
- Assists in the design and simulation of electronic circuits under the guidance of higher-level engineers.
- Participates in efforts of optimizing circuit designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Participates in the development of PCB layouts (Altium), learning best practices in design and manufacturability.
- Collaborates with mechanical engineers to ensure physical and electrical compatibility of designs.
- Supports testing and validation efforts by preparing test setups and recording data, under supervision, to ensure that products meet technical requirements.
- Utilizes electronics testing equipment to identify, analyze, and resolve performance issues.
- Contributes to the development and debugging of firmware for microcontrollers, gaining hands-on experience in embedded programming.
- Collaborates with software teams to ensure seamless integration of the firmware with system software.
- Assists in developing manufacturing guidelines, tools, and quality assurance procedures to maintain product integrity.
- Stays updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the company.
- Assists in documenting design processes and results, aiding in the creation of technical documents and reports.
- Participates in ongoing product evaluation and redesign to incorporate innovative technologies and improve product reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; or any equivalent education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been demonstrated/achieved.
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience in field.
- Practical experience through internships or university projects in PCB design and embedded systems, preferred.
- Programming skills in languages used for embedded systems, such as C, C .
- Proficiency in PCB design and layout techniques utilizing Altium Designer and similar software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of embedded systems architecture and microcontroller programming (ARM, STM32, Nordic).
- Demonstrated experience with simulation software (e.g., LTspice, MATLAB) to analyze circuits and systems for efficient designs.
- Knowledge of communication protocols, such as I2C, SPI, UART; and wireless protocols, such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Pay Range: $32.47/hr to $40.00/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
