Position Summary: The Family Law Unit primarily assists survivors of domestic violence by securing Injunctions for Protection, Dissolutions of Marriage, and Paternity Orders. We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Attorney to join our team and provide high-quality legal services to clients and their families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct representation of clients
- Preparing and delivering client training and community education
- Conducting outreach
- Active bar participation
- Special legal and community projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Member in good standing of the Florida Bar Association
- Awareness and sensitivity to the needs of the populations we serve
- Ability to manage a large caseload and function professionally in a highly stressful environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including other attorneys, support staff, volunteers, and community partners
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Constructive collaboration with others
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
