The Prison Pet Partnership (PPP) is a partnership with the Washington State Department of Corrections Center for Women in Gig Harbor. The partnership was established to address gaps in programming and resources for incarcerated individuals. PPP offers several vocational programs to incarcerate individuals including training service dogs, grooming, pet tech skills. Additional grooming and boarding services are provided by are an important resource to pet owners in both Pierce and Kitsap counties.
PPP is seeking an experienced Non-profit Finance Manager to join our team. This key role is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the organization to include data entry, reconciliations, invoicing and maintaining the financial records for expenses, revenue, and journal entries in QuickBooks and reconciliation of invoices/bank deposits/bank statements/credit cards of PPP and annual budget preparation. Duties
- Responsible for all data entry for expenses, revenue, and journal entries in QuickBooks Online and reconciliation of invoices/bank deposits/bank statements/credit cards
- Responsible for ordering supplies and processing all vendor payments.
- Oversee PPP’s annual budgeting process.
- Provide outside subcontractor the data needed for the monthly payroll process; perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of all payroll related accounts for accuracy
- Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts monthly and provide bank reconciliations to Board Treasurer for review and approval
- Prepare monthly financial reports and any additional reports as may be needed
- Responsible for submission and filing of year-end reports (990, W-2’s and 1099’s)
- Collect and deposit all cash and checks received; monitor and record revenue received through third-party processors
- Participate in grant writing and production of donation letters/outreach
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in nonprofit accounting preferred
- Must be proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in developing and managing annual budgets
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Part-time (24 hours per week)
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hours depending on experience
