What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant (DA or RDA) position at Pristine Dentistry?
We are looking for a competent and reliable dental assistant to join our team. We value a reliable and friendly team player who will work harmoniously to assure a high level of professional excellence for patient care.
A successful candidate is someone who is well-organized with great attention to detail, a fast learner, communicates well with patients, follows instructions, and respects our office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Responsibilities are as below, but not limited to:
- Welcome and check-in customers in the dental office
- Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentists during exams and treatments
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the office clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Skills
- Proven experience as dental assistant with excellent work ethics
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Take good diagnostic quality radiographs and intraoral images
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Sufficient in Open Dental software
- Good computer skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
Compensation - determined based on the applicant's competence, performance, and experience
