Sales Consultant
The Sales Consultant is responsible in generating leads, managing customer appointments, and ensuring a smooth process from start to finish. From the first greeting to after-sales follow-up, you’ll help customers find the right vehicle, offering expert knowledge and support.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, providing knowledgeable and friendly service.
- Build lasting customer relationships through proactive follow-up and ongoing communication.
- Accurately handle all sales paperwork and contracts, adhering to dealership procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Manage customer appointments and inquiries efficiently.
- Develop leads through customer outreach, self-marketing, and social media.
- Stay informed about current inventory and automotive features to provide customers with the best options.
- Ensure the sales lot is clean, organized, and accessible.
- Work with service, finance, and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Follow and advocate for our mission, vision, and core values in all interactions, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing business needs, customer preferences, and market trends.
- Engage in process-driven approaches to ensure consistency and efficiency in the sales process.
- Follow all dealership processes and policies, including those related to accessibility.

Ideal Skills & Experience
- You enjoy working with people and can create a positive and welcoming environment.
- Must possess a valid Iowa driver’s license to facilitate vehicle demonstration and test drives.
- Previous experience in sales, especially automotive, preferred.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to manage time, appointments, and tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and embrace new tools or processes, including accessibility technology if needed.
- Familiarity with vehicles and features is a plus but can be developed through training.
