Technician/Mechanic
The Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the repairs on customer and company tow trucks and trailers.
Reporting Structure
Reports to Shop Manager
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and repair of trucks
- Diagnosis and repair of fundamental, electrical and hydraulic issues
- Repair and adjust clutches, starters, alternators, brakes, fuel and cooling systems
- Estimating repairs
- Completing repair orders
- Welding and fabricating
- Hydraulic hose repair and cylinder replacement
- Clean and inspect engines
- Training new technicians
- Communicates with customers as needed
- Maintaining shop cleanliness
- Maintaining Shop equipment

Ideal Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of diesel and gas mechanics preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record
