We are seeking a skilled Tow Truck Service Technician to join our team. This role focuses exclusively on repairing, maintaining, and fabricating components on tow trucks from the cab back—no engine work. The ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined, have a strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and fabrication, and be proficient in welding and cutting tools.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, electrical components, and structural parts of tow trucks.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding for fabrications and repairs.
- Use an acetylene torch for cutting and welding applications.
- Fabricate and modify metal components to meet operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair winches, booms, underlifts, wheel lifts, and other tow truck equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service reports.
- Operate heavy-duty tow trucks for testing and quality checks when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in hydraulic, electrical, and fabrication work (tow truck industry preferred).
- Proficiency in MIG & TIG welding and comfortable using an acetylene torch.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
- Must own a complete set of tools required for the job.
- Possess a Chauffeur’s License (CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Comprehensive hands-on training on tow truck repair and maintenance and welding
- Ongoing education on hydraulic and electrical systems to ensure technicians stay updated with industry advancements.
- Safety training on proper use of welding, cutting, and fabrication tools.
