Technician/Mechanic

The Technician/Mechanic is responsible for the repairs on customer and company tow trucks and trailers.

Reporting Structure

Reports to Shop Manager

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and repair of trucks
• Diagnosis and repair of fundamental, electrical and hydraulic issues
• Repair and adjust clutches, starters, alternators, brakes, fuel and cooling systems
• Estimating repairs
• Completing repair orders
• Welding and fabricating
• Hydraulic hose repair and cylinder replacement
• Clean and inspect engines
• Training new technicians
• Communicates with customers as needed
• Maintaining shop cleanliness
• Maintaining Shop equipment

Ideal Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of diesel and gas mechanics preferred
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record
