Pritchard Industries is seeking a Custodial Manager for Lakewood School District, who is responsible for directing a wide variety of janitorial services, in a school district. This position will be responsible for the operation of the custodial staff. The ideal candidate should have a great personality to build relationships, multi-unit janitorial management experience and a great personality to help build relationships and foster current relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for organizing, scheduling, training, assigning, and performing daily work routines.
- Must be able to plan and perform major cleaning operations, supervising and coordinating work projects, and coordinate with the customer on supervisory responsibilities to ensure quantity and quality exceeds expectations.
- Inspect all assigned areas frequently to ensure that individual and building inspections meet service level quality standards, utilizing computer-aided inspection systems and other department provided tools. Supervise other related work as required.
- Independently directs, assigns, supervises, and guides all assigned janitorial employees.
- Plans and prepares work schedules and assignments.
- Approves assigned employee payroll documents, payables, etc.
- Completes assigned supply orders and billings.
- Work with union employees.
- School custodial experience is a plus.
Minimum Requirements
- CEFM certification (or in process of acquiring) preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years directly related experience that demonstrates management knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning process and practices.
- Minimum of one (1) years experience in a managerial or leadership role in a school district.
- Basic skillset in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Client and contract management experience.
