General Maintenance Tech (Tarrant County)

The role is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of plumbing systems and to address general maintenance tasks within the facility. The general maintenance tech will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal. Additionally, the tech will handle various general maintenance duties to keep the facility in good repair. As the Maintenance Tech you must comply with all safety protocols and procedures as outlined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and any relevant authorities. You will report directly to the Facility Manager and will provide all required documentation in a timely and organized manner. Responsibilities:

Plumbing Services:

• Inspect and diagnose issues with plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Install new plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings as required.
• Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of the water supply, heating, and waste disposal systems.
• Unclog pipes, drains, and sewer lines as needed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure they are in good working order.
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes and safety regulations pertaining to plumbing.
• Maintain inventory of plumbing supplies and equipment.

General Maintenance Services:

• Conduct routine inspections of the premises to determine repair work necessary.
• Perform minor electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fixing faulty wiring.
• Handle basic carpentry tasks, such as fitting doors, replacing woodwork, and assembling furniture.
• Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.) when necessary.
• Carry out periodic cleaning tasks as needed to maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facility.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs that cannot be handled internally.
• Document maintenance and repair work completed and report any major issues to facility management.

Deliverables:

• A monthly report detailing all maintenance and repair activities performed, including hours worked, materials used, and any recommendations for future work.
• An up-to-date inventory list of plumbing supplies and tools.
• A log of any identified issues and the actions taken to resolve them.

Performance Standards:

• All work must be completed in a professional manner, adhering to the highest industry standards and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• The general maintenance worker must have:
• Proven experience in general building maintenance.
• A strong understanding of water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Benefits:

• Salary: $ 14.50 - 15.00/hour
• Full-Time; 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday -Friday
