We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Tax & Compliance Manager to oversee our payroll tax functions and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and union agreements. This role will oversee payroll tax reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives while providing guidance on tax-related matters, wage and hour laws, and union agreements. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks and enhance payroll compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local payroll tax, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Manage multi-state tax registrations and compliance for all locations
- Ensure compliance with all payroll tax regulations and union agreements
- Monitor tax law changes and implement necessary payroll system updates to maintain compliance
- Manage the reconciliation of payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure proper payroll tax accounting and reporting
- Develop and implement payroll tax policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and training to payroll staff on tax and compliance issues
- Stay updated on changes in payroll tax laws and union regulations
- Lead payroll tax audits, including federal, state, and local agency audits
- Provide necessary documentation and responses to tax authorities, auditors, and legal entities
- Develop and maintain detailed payroll tax compliance reports, employer costs for bidding, and record keeping
- Work with HR and Payroll teams to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, including overtime, minimum wage, and tax withholdings
- Work closely with union representatives and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance-related concerns
- Monitor and report on compliance with union contracts and agreements
- Ensure proper calculation and reporting of union benefits, pension contributions, and other contractual obligations

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
