Business Analyst

This role plays a critical part in optimizing systems, analyzing business data, and ensuring regulatory adherence.
Position Overview
The Business Analyst is responsible for data quality and analysis, systems and tools management, compliance support, and operational support of Advisors and their teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, technological expertise, and problem-solving abilities to improve business processes, ensure compliance, and provide data-driven insights that enhance decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Quality & Analysis
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of client and firm-wide data across all platforms.
- Oversee data reconciliation between custodial platforms, CRM, portfolio management systems, and financial planning tools.
- Analyze business performance trends and generate actionable insights to optimize operations.
- Partner with Outside Advisors (CPAs, lawyers, etc.) to enhance client service delivery.
- Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports to support key business decisions.
2. Systems & Tools Management
- Oversee the administration and optimization of core business systems, including CRM, portfolio management software, and compliance tools.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with new system integrations, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices for system utilization.
- Collaborate with IT vendors and third-party providers to enhance system functionality.
3. Compliance Support
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in maintaining and improving compliance processes.
- Support regulatory reporting by compiling and analyzing necessary data for ADV filings, audits, and examinations.
- Ensure adherence to data security protocols and regulatory requirements under SEC, FINRA, and state regulations.
- Maintain documentation related to policies, procedures, and compliance workflows.
- Assist in conducting internal audits and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, operations, compliance, or a similar role within an RIA, wealth management firm, or financial services company.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Technology Proficiency:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 applications required.
- Experience utilizing AI-driven tools to improve efficiency required.
- Familiarity with Salesforce (CRM) and Orion (portfolio management system) is helpful.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- General understanding of cybersecurity best practices and financial technology tools.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency.
- Communication Skills: Ability to translate technical findings into actionable business insights and present them effectively to leadership.
- Project Management: Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
