CAD Technician
Commercial & Industrial Roofing Contractor

Role Summary
The CAD Technician role within the Commercial Roof Systems division supports the engineering of projects to ensure technical accuracy and help create a positive customer experience. The role requires a minimum of AutoCAD LT experience. The primary responsibility will be to produce construction documents that are timely, complete, and accurate for our clients, municipalities, and especially for the company's field teams.
Work will encompass drawing construction details for our field teams implementing awarded work as well as for our customers, audiences that include architects and construction managers. Public sector projects will involve drawing proposed and as-built detials based upon an architects specifications. Private sector opportunities often involve drawing construction details based on verbal guidance from our leadership and field teams.

General Duties
Participate in weekly team calls to discuss project submittals and overall progress.
Review plans and specifications, work scope, and estimates for awarded contracts.
Creation of job books that provide detail to field crews on the required implementation and procedures.
Support customer dialog and conversation in person and / or virtually as required.
Compiling and creation of submittal packages if required by customer.
Position Qualifications
Minimum of one year’ experience with AtuoDesk AutoCAD.
Effective communication skills for interacting with our customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Experience, Qualifications & Behavior
- Experience in commercial construction.
Related technical training and / or associates degree in business, engineering or other technical disciplines.
Base Job Requirements
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English and in a respectful and collaborative manner.
Possession of an unrestricted Driver’s License.
Ability and willingness to climb up and down ladders to minimum heights of 25 feet from ground level.

Compensation & Benefits
This role is an hourly position with the company with a range of $22.00 - $26.00 depending on qualifications and experience. The role is eligible for an annual bonus based on overall company and individual performance.
