HVAC/Plumbing Estimator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC and Plumbing Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial in preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive estimates for HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scopes and address potential challenges.
• Research and source competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure estimates comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and local regulations.
• Maintain and update a database of historical project costs and vendor pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews as needed.
• Assist in value engineering to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the HVAC and plumbing industry (5 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in HVAC or Plumbing Estimation.
• Experience with design-build projects or energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Bluebeam.
