Caregiver

This position is not an agency position working with multiple clients.

This position is caring for one specific woman in her home and community. There is only one client so responsibilities/tasks are as described.

The client is a professional, graduate level educated woman in her mid 30's.

Responsibilities:

• Offer physical assistance with personal hygiene and grooming. Client is fully continent of bowel and bladder and will need assistance with transfers in and out of bed, wheelchair, and on/off the toilet. Pivot transfer assist or sit to stand required. (Will train)
• Supportive tasks such as preparing meals, light housekeeping, laundry.
• Provide emotional support through conversations with client, maintaining organization systems and punctuality while on the job, and by performing assigned tasks cheerfully.
• Provide transportation and/or accompany client to medical appointments, the grocery store, coffee shops, meals out, spa/salon/nail appointments, possible day trips to Chicago, occasionally provide cares at the client's office in the community and other locations. Vehicle/drivers license/driving not required for job but helpful. Reliable transportation to job and punctuality REQUIRED.
• Assist client with range of motion/physical therapy exercises (Will train)
• Client has no intellectual disability, works a full time job, and is very active. Shifts are busy, usually fun, and go quickly!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
