Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL A truck driver with mechanic background to join our private family office as a seasonal 1099 contractor. This exciting opportunity involves traveling across the United States and Canada in a semi-tractor/motorhome, managing a fleet of vehicles, and providing exceptional maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a new 2024 Peterbilt toterhome with up to 53' gooseneck trailer
- Manage fleet maintenance needs and supplies while on the road
- Load and unload vehicles from trailers, including load security
- Perform vehicle washing and detailing, laundry, dishes, and other household tasks
- Monitor fluid levels, refresh fleet water supply, and perform organization and general support duties
- Private event setup and dismantle
Requirements:
- Current or past CDL License (Class A)
- Semi-truck driving experience
- Possess technical automotive skills
- Occasional heavy lifting – up to 100 lbs
- Non-smoker
- Ability to handle rugged weather environments
- Valid passport for international border crossing
- Consent to a background check
- Pet-friendly experience
Compensation:
- $800/day while out of town; or possibly more for the right candidate
- Paid weekly via ACH as a 1099 contractor
- Lodging provided in a new 2024 toterhome with another staff member
- First and last flight/transportation reimbursement for non-local individuals
- Daily per diem for food and beverage
