Nanny

Location: Pittsville, MD

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $41,600 annually or $20 per hour with overtime potential. Paid Bi-Weekly via Direct Deposit.

Start Date: TBD. We are expecting this position to start early to mid April.

About the Position:

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and energetic full-time nanny to help care for our three children: two girls (ages 7 and 3) and one boy (age 5). During the day, the nanny will primarily care for the 3-year-old and 5-year-old, and after school, they will also be responsible for the 7-year-old when they get off the bus at 2:50 PM- 4:00 PM.

A vehicle will be provided for transporting the children as needed. Our home is also full of animals, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable around pets.

About Us: We are a busy family of 5 living in a tiny house (700sq.) but we luckily have a half acre fenced in yard for outdoor play including a large tree house, trampoline, sandbox and swingset. We have two energetic Australian Shepherds that are friendly but talkative, three cuddly cats, a large Angora rabbit and seven laying hens. My wife owns a local business and I work remotely as an Executive at a Financial Technology Company. We are a laid back and easy going family that enjoys music, reading books and hanging out.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, crafts, and outdoor play. Reduce screen time (we’ve been bad at this and need someone who can do better).
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children
• Assist with light housekeeping, including:
• Tidying up play areas
• Cleaning up after meals
• Children's laundry
• Keeping common areas clean and organized
• Transport children to and from activities (vehicle provided). IE. Parks, library etc.
• Support early childhood learning activities and help the older child with homework
• Follow a structured daily routine, including meals, naps, and playtime
• Maintain open and clear communication with parents about the children’s activities and needs
• Willing to set boundaries and discipline in a kind and compassionate manner
• Be comfortable around multiple pets in the home

Qualifications:

• Prior nanny, childcare, or teaching experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be comfortable with animals and willing to be in a pet-friendly home
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
• A genuine love for children and a positive, patient attitude
