What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher/Family Helper position at Private family?
Seeking an energetic teacher or teacher in training with a background in education who can provide structured learning and play for three children (ages nine, six, and four). The family has a full time nanny but is looking for additional support. The ideal candidate is playful and fun, but can also bring structure to the afternoon/evening routine.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support, including school work monitoring and organizational skill development
- Contribute to student learning, growth, and advancement
- Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
- Facilitate problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills
- Collaborate effectively with parents
Qualifications
Must have teaching experience or be pursuing teaching certification/degree in education. Experience working with children with learning differences is a plus as one child has ADHD/Dyslexia.
Hours
Monday-Thursday, 3:00-6:00 PM
(5) weekend hours as requested
15-20 hours per week
