About the Position

We are looking for a Manager, Event Services to oversee the day-to-day operations and event logistics for games, concerts, private events and VIP activations at Chase Center and Thrive City. In this role, you will drive the execution of all front and back of house functions and act as the liaison with all relevant departments. This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operational functions and event personnel to enhance promoter, artist and guest experience
  • Lead site visits and prepare event proposals, estimates/budgets, floor plans, and other details
  • Lead regular Event Production meetings to discuss upcoming events and ensure plans for execution are aligned across departments
  • Partner with Content & Programming, Box Office and promoters to develop on-sale CAD drawings
  • Collaborate with unions as needed for all games and events
  • Ensure all required permits are secured for events; maintain close working relationship with the Fire and Buildings Departments
  • Work with internal departments and external agencies to ensure life safety plans are executed and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships, Private Events and other departments to ensure client needs are being met
  • Develop and effectively communicate facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures with internal and external clients; maintain effective working relationships with all internal departments, clients and partners
  • Work with Content & Programming Department & Private Events sales teams to increase revenue on all private events booked through the venue
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and training manuals for areas of oversight and institute culture of process and accountability
  • Compile and communicate pre- and post-event related information; prepare and distribute event notes to appropriate departments and vendors
  • Facilitate the collection of all post-event notes with the intent of celebrating successes while also correcting necessary items in order to ensure improvement in future events
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries and complaints
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of planning and executing large, high-profile events in an arena or live entertainment venue; 2 years of people management experience
  • Operations experience with large-scale events in a stadium, concert, or multi-use facility setting of a similar size (18,000 seats) is preferred
  • Familiarity with live entertainment venue management (i.e., security, retail operations, building operations, production, building engineering, parking, and food & beverage operations, guest experience, etc.) is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, attention to detail and resolution skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and media scheduling in a fast-paced work environment

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays

Compensation

  • $89,000 - 94,000 Bonus
