Location: Roxborough Park, Littleton Schedule: Two days per week, 6 hours per day (12 hours weekly), weekdays or weekends available, flexible schedule
Position Overview We seek an experienced Modern Governess to provide comprehensive educational instruction, developmental guidance, and organizational support for our enthusiastic 4th-grade daughter. This part-time governess position combines dedicated academic teaching with character development, life skills training, and household organizational responsibilities, creating a holistic learning environment that nurtures both intellectual and personal growth.
Governess Responsibilities
Educational Leadership (50% of time)
- Design and implement engaging curriculum aligned with 4th-grade academic standards
- Provide personalized one-on-one instruction in core subjects using varied teaching methods
- Create immersive, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and engagement
- Track and document educational progress through regular assessments and portfolio development
- Organize educational activities and projects that combine multiple learning objectives
- Incorporate student's interests in animals, science, and technology into lesson plans
- Design and execute educational crafts and games that reinforce learning concepts
Character Development & Personal Growth (30% of time)
- Foster intellectual curiosity and instill a lifelong love of learning
