Pay / Hours:
- $23 - $30/hr based upon experience.
- 40 - 45 hrs / week
- Annualized pay with occasional OT, bonuses and on-call* pay is $65,000 - $80,000. *See description below

Job Description:
- Care is for a sweet 11yo girl with special needs, but no behavior issues. She is non-verbal and, although she is strong and can bear weight / stand fully, she uses a wheelchair for mobility. She is 75lbs so you must be able to lift her to transfer her (i.e. no back problems).
- Care for her includes, but is not limited to: Bathing, Feeding, Eye Gaze Device work, following her Therapy programs, Diapering, Monitor and Track Seizures, Organize / unpack and keep track of supplies and medicine, Carefully monitoring her mood and body language, and Cleaning Equipment and play areas.
- She attends school Monday and Wednesday - Friday. She gets off the bus at 4:00pm every day. Hours are as follows:
Monday: 7-8:45am (get her ready for school), BREAK but “on-call,” then 1:00-7:30pm.
Tuesday: 8:30am - 7:30pm
Wednesday: 7-8:45am, BREAK but “on-call,” then 1:00pm - 9:00pm
Thursday: 7-8:45am, BREAK but “on-call,” then 1:00pm - 7:30pm
Friday: 7-8:45am, BREAK but “on-call,” then 1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Most weeks, 35 hours of the 40-45 hrs per week will be in care of her. The remaining hours (1:00pm - 4:00pm) will be devoted to some household manager tasks: Help prep/cook Family Dinners, Grocery Shopping, Errands, Organization tasks, All the Family’s Laundry, Dishwasher, Light Cleaning (we have a weekly housecleaner), Driving children in employer vehicles to appointments/activities, and helping with care / driving of the other family members on an as needed basis.
- You would need to be okay with rare weekend hours, overtime, and overnight stays, but most of the hours will be M-F.
- On the days she is sick or does not have school, you will be responsible for staying home with her, even though that’s not your “normal” shift, hence the extra weekly pay for the "on-call" hours from 9am-1pm. You will get paid the on-call pay every week guaranteed. If you do work during those “off / on call” hours, we will pay your normal hourly wage for those hours. as well. If family schedule allows, your shift that day could end earlier than 7:30pm.
A little about our family:
Mom and Dad have been married almost 25 years and have two other older children still at home, 18yo and 14yo boys. We love to laugh, enjoy life, and our house is full of peace and joy. We treat the people who work for us fairly, like family, and reward them well for excellent performance. I (Mom) don’t micromanage once a caregiver is trained, but do expect thorough communication on how my daughter is doing, since she can’t speak for herself and is medically complex. I’m always available and open to questions. We have two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Bernedoodle.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Female given the age of the child and job related tasks like bathing and diapering.
- Must be 18yo, but with experience requirement, most likely a minimum of 20 years old
- Minimum of 2 years full-time professional nanny experience
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- Vehicle, Driver's License, Insurance and clean driving record required
- Non-smoker / Vaper
Must be:
- Reliable, On-time, Hard worker - Willing to be on-call and work OT and nights occasionally
- Flexible, smart, professional, mature, detail oriented, and responsible
Must have:
- A caring / caretaker personality
- Strong communication and intuition skills are needed as child is non-verbal and can't speak for herself.
- Ability to be calm in stressful situations, as she does have seizures and is medically complex.
