The Role – Showroom Manager
The ideal candidate will have a background in Retail Management, impeccable administration and organizational skills, and an understanding of the luxury goods market. Ideally, you will already have a list of potential clients, designers, and trade contacts. As a Store Manager, you must have passion, drive, and energy for delivering an exceptional customer experience, while leading, coaching, and challenging your team to provide customers with perfect home décor solutions.
You will supervise daily store operations, inspect inventory shipments, resolve customer issues, and develop new team members. You will also identify and capitalize on opportunities for both existing and new business, driving store performance and profitability to its highest level.
Team Structure
Reporting directly to the Retail Director, you’ll work as part of a small store team, leading your Sales & Design Consultants by example. Your ideas and contributions will be valued as an integral part of a growing organization with plenty of opportunities for progression.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end sales journey for clients, ensuring their needs are met to create their ideal home interiors.
- Set individual sales goals for team members and manage performance to achieve them.
- Build local awareness of the brand and its services through creative outreach strategies.
- Maintain high levels of customer service at all times.
- Actively network with local interior designers and trade professionals.
- Build and maintain a client base through consistent follow-up, scheduling appointments, and hosting store events.
- Educate clients about the brand, product features, advantages, and benefits.
- Monitor and adjust stock levels, ensuring proper inventory control.
- Manage controllable costs to maintain profitability.
- Collaborate with headquarters on financial matters, including forecasting and product assortment.
- Execute promotions and collect customer feedback to drive improvement.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards and serve as a positive role model for your team.
Role Expectations
- Take ownership of the store's sales and performance goals.
- Meet and exceed personal and team sales targets and KPI expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with designers and the trade community.
- Ensure the store is clean, well-merchandised, and presentable at all times.

- Provide accurate sales forecasts and meet inventory management standards.
- Conduct inventory, shipping, and delivery activities, lifting up to 40lbs when necessary.
Selection Criteria
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury retail or linens.
- A proactive approach to sales and a strong ability to win and grow new business.
- Ability to analyze basic financial and statistical information.
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships with retail and trade customers.
- Experience coaching, engaging, and motivating a sales team.
- Strong awareness of the sales process and ability to coach others effectively.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and adapt to innovative approaches.
