Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing support to our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of clinical procedures and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team oriented internal medicine practice. Our practice does not have evening or weekend hours.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures including urinalysis, EKG's, vision screenings, blood draws, nebulizer treatments, home sleep studies, Holter Monitors, etc.
- Administer medications or vaccinations as directed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting information in electronic health records.
- Support care operations by maintaining equipment and supplies necessary for patient treatment.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clarity of treatment plans.
- Assist in the management of clinic operations, including scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow.
- Provide education to patients regarding medication administration and inhalation techniques as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is required.
- Familiarity with working in Primary Care or internal medicine is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and best practices for patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday during operational hours, clinic hours are 0800-430.

Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
