We are seeking an experienced Gynecology LVN or MA to join our team as a Gynecology Care Coordinator at our San Francisco office in the Laurel Heights area. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday, onsite, traditional business hours.

What will you be doing in this role?
This role combines administrative, clinical, and program development duties, ideal for someone with a background in gynecological care. You'll work in a non-hospital setting, free from volume or time constraints, with an emphasis on quality care and patient relationships.
Success in this role means providing exceptional service, collaborating closely with physicians and team members, and maintaining a gracious, personable, and accommodating approach to patient care.
- Provide world class, comprehensive, customized patient care.
- Assist gynecologists during exams and procedures, prepare patients for visits, and manage patient flow.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, obtaining patient histories, and collecting specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide compassionate care, answer patient inquiries, educate patients on procedures and follow-up care, and help ensure a smooth, comfortable experience.
- Manage patient scheduling and administrative coordination for the gynecologists, ensuring efficient appointment booking and patient communication.
- Document all therapies, medications, and clinically relevant patient interactions into the electronic medical record.
- Serve as a key resource in improving the gynecology program at Private Medical by collaborating with leadership to develop protocols and systems that enhance patient care and clinical efficiency.
- Act as a point of contact between gynecologists, patients, and other medical staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the practice.
- Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of new gynecology services and programs, working closely with medical leadership to meet patient needs, including training with occasional travel.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable Standards of Practice.
About you:
- Experience: At least three (3) years of proven work experience in a Gynecology setting
- License and Certifications:
- MA Candidates: CPT I certification required, CMA preferred
- LVN Candidates: Active CA LVN license required, IV certification required
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Independence and autonomy, when necessary, as well as the ability to work seamlessly as part of a team
- Positive and proactive
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Resource management
- Immunizations or proof of immunity provided for MMR, hepatitis B, and tuberculosis
- Sound clinical and personal judgment and professional demeanor
- Advanced computer literacy, primarily with Apple products
