Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to provide essential support to a 34-year-old male in need of assistance with total daily living activities. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individual while ensuring their safety and comfort. This position is conducted in a private residence.
Duties
- Assist individual with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring individual is safely moved from one location to another.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individual, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Monitor individual’s health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Administer medications and adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal care, senior care, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individual and his family.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
