What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Manager Multifamily position at Private?
1. Develop a full understanding of company policies and the Employee Handbook.
2. Demonstrate ability to understand financial goals, operate asset in owners’ best interest in accordance with Policies & Procedures Manual
3. Lead and manage the preparation of the annual asset budgets and ensure a high quality, accurate and timely product.
4. Review and monitor performance of property budgets, variances, etc. and prepare monthly financial packages including a summary of variances. The P&L must be reviewed weekly to ensure the property is operating within budget.
5. Interview and recommend all new hires for on-site positions within assigned portfolio.
6. Perform routine site visits to assess curb appeal and the general condition of the property and discuss items with management and maintenance staff.
7. Maintain community appearance and ensure repairs are noted and completed on timely basis. This requires regular community inspections and tours. The Regional Manager will perform work order call backs and general inspections of closed work orders totalling 5% per month.
8. Ensure all monthly close out processes are followed for each property within portfolio and all appropriate steps were taken during the close out process at the property level.
9. Monthly discussion with Property Manager regarding general operational review of assigned properties to ensure occupancy and financial goals are being met each month. The Regional Manager will be evaluated on how well each asset is performing and is directly responsible for exceeding the monthly and yearly budgeted NOI of each asset
Position Requirements:
1. 5 years of experience supervising significant multifamily operations, including top level strategic planning and tactical management.
2. Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) preferred
3. LIHTC & HUD experience preferred, with full knowledge of initial move in and annual recertification process
4. Achieve Fair Housing as well as Sexual Harassment certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents
5. Competence in personal computer skills, keyboards, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as community software applications such as RealPage and or Yardi
6. Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
7. Availability to work evenings and weekends according to business needs of the company
8. Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community
9. Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook
10. Lift and carry up to 25lbs
11. Successfully pass both a criminal and drug screen testing
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
