PRL Industries, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in Quality. We seek an individual who understands the importance of setting the standard to join our fast-paced team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer at PRL Industries, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. You will lead our quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with ASME codes and Military standards. This is not a remote position.

Job Summary : The Quality Assurance Engineer will execute various professional and technical assignments in the Quality Assurance department. You will support the performance of contract reviews, corrective action investigations, and inspections to ensure compliance with ASME codes and Military standards.
Job Qualifications :
Education : Formal post-secondary education preferred, such as an AS or BS degree in metallurgy, quality, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience : 3 years of professional-related experience working in the quality department in an engineering capacity within a manufacturing environment.
Skills : Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform duties outlined in various PRL Industries, Inc. procedures and work instructions.
- Review customer P.O. requirements and develop detailed action plans, including execution of welding, NDT, dimensional inspection, heat treatment, and welding.
- Analyze potential inspection processes and equipment upgrades to improve quality, reliability, and productivity.
- Perform internal and external audits to ASME and Military compliance standards.
- Review and approve dimensional inspection records for acceptability.
- Perform root cause analysis to understand failure modes and execute preventative action and mistake-proofing operations.
- Develop quality requirements for subcontracted outside services.
