Job Summary
- This role requires a registered ARRT-certified technologist with experience in interventional radiology.
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and expertise in stroke and neuro-interventional procedures.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Radiologist to perform advanced invasive procedures, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. They will be responsible for:
- Patient Interaction: Explaining procedures to patients, preparing them for exams, and gathering relevant medical history.
- Procedure Preparation: Preparing and administering contrast media, medications, and IV solutions; setting up sterile equipment and imaging devices.
- Assistance During Procedures: Assisting Radiologists with complex diagnostic invasive procedures and monitoring patient condition throughout.
- Equipment Operation: Operating imaging equipment manually to capture high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring adherence to safety and ALARA principles.
- Supply Management: Maintaining and replenishing inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available and properly stored.
- Quality Control: Performing quality assurance checks and resolving imaging exceptions to ensure accurate data entry into PACS and RIS systems.
- Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive and accurate medical records and billing documentation.
- Training: Mentoring and training new team members or students as needed.
