LTC LPN | Licensed Practical Nurse- Long Term Care
Position Overview:
The job of a Long-Term Care LPN is to provide care for elderly patients. The nurse will work under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses. This nurse will need to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients’ health by assessing vitals and providing necessary treatments
- Administer medications, injections, and perform CPR when required
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, including self-care after discharge, holistic health, available resources, and follow-up care
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and restroom needs
- Supervise CNAs and other support staff
Qualifications:
- NCLEX-PN
- Required Certifications: BLS issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- 1 year of LTC experience in the last 2 years
- Additional requirements based on facility
