The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in interventional radiology, with a focus on stroke and neuro-interventional expertise. Registered ARRT certification is required, with advanced registry in at least one of the following: Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV).
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Explain procedures to patients, prepare them for exams, and gather relevant medical history.
- Procedure Preparation: Prepare and administer contrast media, medications, and IV solutions; set up sterile equipment and imaging devices.
- Assistance During Procedures: Assist Radiologists with complex diagnostic invasive procedures and monitor patient condition throughout.
- Equipment Operation: Operate imaging equipment manually to capture high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring adherence to safety and ALARA principles.
- Supply Management: Maintain and replenish inventory, ensuring all necessary materials are available and properly stored.
- Quality Control: Perform quality assurance checks and resolve imaging exceptions to ensure accurate data entry into PACS and RIS systems.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records and billing documentation.
