Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated travel nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a reputable healthcare facility in Flushing, New York. The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Critical Care Nursing: Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessing their condition, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and develop effective treatment plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, medications, and test results, in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of New York.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in an ICU or CCU.
- Certifications: Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required.
