Provides direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.| Serves as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.| Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.| Assesses and coordinates patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
Shift Available: Midnights
Contingent: 6 Shifts in a 6 Week Period
ICU RNs must be willing to float to all IPD units (Med/Surg, Tele, etc.)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One to two (1-2) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS.
• Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS where required.
• TB, vaccines (i.e., flu)
