Responsibilities:

CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO WORK DOTHAN, ASHFORD, OZARK AND DALEVILLE. Retention Bonus

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs: such as showering, bathing, dressing (includes putting on non-prescription support stockings), oral care, perineal care, hair and nail care.
• Assisting/providing basic skin care: including - washing and drying; applying non-prescription body lotions or creams; observing any changes in skin integrity
• Assisting with bowel regularity
• Providing bowel and bladder incontinence care
• Assist with urinals, bed pans and/or commodes
• Assist with positioning in bed, wheelchairs, and other chairs
• Assist with transferring back and forth from bed, wheelchair, toilet, and chair.
• Assist with positioning and transfers.
• Plan and prepare meals; observing eating behaviors and assisting with eating and nutrition; monitoring food and liquid intakes; following special diets; monitoring eating safety risks such as swallowing and choking.
• Assisting with transfers: including - one person pivot transfer; two-person transfers; using transfer belts; using mechanical lifts; using wheelchair, walker and/or cane
• Complete client’s shopping .
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting clients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.

Qualifications

If you are dependable, with a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, negative TB Test, can pass a national background check , can start work as soon as December 2nd and If you are a certified HHA or CNA, who is willing support clients with day-to-day tasks, like bathing and dressing; and be responsible for light housekeeping duties such as doing laundry or dishes to ensure patients' wellbeing--- YES we are hiring! We have a very STRICT attendance policy and you MUST BE WILLING TO WORK A MINIMUM OF 3 days each week, with shifts from 2 to 5 hours each day and multiple clients. Hourly wage is $10-$12 an hour.

• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• REQUIRED (NO EXCEPTIONS) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
• REQUIRED: PAID TRAINING must be willing to travel to Dothan, Alabama
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Prior experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment encouraged.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver
