Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Opportunity Evaluation: Identify and analyze potential acquisition targets, partnership opportunities, and strategic investments that align with the company’s goals
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build, refine, and maintain complex financial models to assess the financial impact of transactions, including valuation, ROI, and sensitivity analysis
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential business risks, providing insights to guide corporate strategy
- Due Diligence Support: Assist in all phases of the due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to gather relevant information
- Transaction Execution: Support the negotiation, structuring, and execution of deals, working closely with senior management and legal advisors
- Post-Transaction Integration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful integration of acquired companies or partnerships, monitoring performance against key metrics
- Internal Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present findings, financial analyses, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality
- Assist in building business plans for new businesses we choose to start from scratch
- Build a solid network of connections within and outside our industries
- Help formulate a plan for growth after the acquisition
- Other duties as reasonably assigned
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles
- Experience with M&A, due diligence, or corporate transactions is preferred
Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market research
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
- Be comfortable operating without a set budget as that is not in our DNA as a business
- Have an understanding of how an acquisition would fit into our umbrella of brands
- Understand today’s media and influencer business
- Be great at following up!

Pro Athlete is currently operating under an optional hybrid work environment. Employees can work on-site Tuesday through Thursday or they can work remotely 100% of the time.
