What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Audio Video position at Pro Audio Video, Inc.?
Overseeing all the Audio Video responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures. Presenting excellent customer service during the client experience of contract creation, design of events and execution of set/operate/strike. Managing the venue to ensure profitability levels and customer success rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales either directly or indirectly at the property, makes sales calls as needed, generates quotes and corresponds with clients.
- Builds and maintains positive and professional relationships with hotel/venue staff, attend meetings (BEO) as required.
- Oversees BEO distributions and call ins regarding AV.
- Continually capture convention center business.
- Creates contracts to send to client or venue based off BEO distribution or call ins.
- Responds to hotel representatives and clients in a timely manner.
- Conduct comprehensive venue walkthroughs with clients to assess their specific needs, preferences, and expectations of audio visual services.
- Works closely with clients to ensure audio visual needs are met for a successful meeting.
- May oversee daily floor operations including room sets/strikes.
- Completes necessary flow sheets, billing, and scheduling and inventory procedures.
- Arrange for additional labor, services and equipment as needed.
- Prevents inventory loss by ensuring that equipment is recovered and secured from meeting areas and stored in proper secured locations.
- Creates or rearranges sets to enhance clients’ vision.
- Create POs for subcontract labor and sub rented equipment.
- Manage the property budget and ensure office profitability is met.
- Leads, performs and reinforces customer service standards to AV team.
- Understand company QC procedures to help in the warehouse and maintain equipment.
- Follows and acts in accordance with all company rules and policies in regard to general operation of the company, including but not limited to working hours, procedures and specific company rules.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels
- Conduct timely team member reviews
- Address employee concerns or questions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 5 years hands on experience in AV.
- 5 years of experiences in audio, video and lighting.
- 5 years of experience overseeing a team and crew.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with audio/visual setups/strikes, certification in audiovisual technology or related courses. (preferred)
- Planning Skills – able to effectively plan ahead
- Organization Skills – ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and staff
- Exceptional customer service or hospitality experience required
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required for team members in positions that may operate Company vehicles.
Physical:
Able to lift 30 lbs. or more based on average equipment weight.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
