What Youll Do:

We're looking for a skilled and organized Case Manager to support our medical-legal patients. This position plays a key role in bridging the gap between the medical and legal worlds, ensuring that our patients receive seamless care while navigating healthcare-related legal matters.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and will be able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. We offer a flexible work environment, with the opportunity to work remotely from home or on-site in the clinic, depending on the needs of the team and our patients.

Responsibilities:(please note this is a growing role and may change based on recruiting and practice needs)

  • Case Management:
    • Manage medical and legal aspects of patient cases, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, order processing, and order fulfillment.
    • Coordinate with healthcare providers, legal teams, and patients to gather and organize necessary medical records and legal documents.
    • Develop and implement case strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure all documentation adheres to HIPAA and legal standards.
    • Maintain case files, including medical reports, legal correspondence, and progress notes.
    • Track case deadlines and follow-ups to meet regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Patient Advocacy and Support:
    • Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and legal professionals.
    • Provide patients with clear information about their rights, available resources, and the progress of their cases.
    • Assist patients in navigating insurance claims, disability filings, or workers compensation processes.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
    • Work closely with physicians, medical professionals, and legal professionals.
    • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and legal proceedings when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field or related experience.
  • Experience in a medical or legal setting (3-5 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

  • Hybrid work environment - ability to work from home, but will also be required to be in-office in any of the Austin area clinics regularly
