Job Summary:
As a Rehab Technician, you'll support patient care alongside healthcare providers in a dynamic rehab setting. You'll assist with therapeutic exercises, maintain treatment areas and equipment, and handle various administrative tasks, all while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field. Ideal candidates will have a passion for learning, a background in kinesiology or sports medicine, and a strong interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy, chiropractic, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering therapeutic exercise protocols and modalities to patients under supervision.
- Perform mobility and strength exercises with patients, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Prepare patients for rehab treatment by welcoming them, providing comfort, and assisting with treatment setup.
- Provide patients with clear instructions for in-clinic and at-home care as directed by the provider.
- Educate patients on the proper use of rehabilitation equipment and demonstrate exercise routines.
- Maintain and sterilize equipment and supplies, ensuring treatment areas are clean and organized.
- Update patient records, charts, and other documentation as required for ongoing care.
- Answer patient questions, provide information, and offer reassurance to alleviate concerns.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as taking phone messages and coordinating feedback between patients and providers.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to support patient care and explore opportunities to improve processes and services.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College degree required, preferably in kinesiology, sports medicine, pre-med, or a related field.
- Strong oral and written proficiency in Spanish is a plus (but not required).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and practices is a plus.
- Physical ability to assist patients and support mobility during rehabilitation exercises.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
