Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Burlington, NC

Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their leadership team. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all internal and external audits
• Drive continuous improvement in quality and food safety processes
• Manage and develop quality assurance team
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain audit-readiness
• Oversee product testing and lab analysis
• Handle customer complaints and implement corrective actions

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree with 8 years of applicable experience
• 3-5 years of experience in food industry quality management
• Strong knowledge of FSMA/FDA requirements and GFSI certification
• Experience leading audits and maintaining audit-ready status
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends
• Prior work authorization in the US required

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a continuous improvement mindset, and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves participation in daily production meetings and requires occasional domestic and international travel.
