Furniture Delivery Driver / Installer

4 DAY WORK WEEK

As a White Glove driver/ installer, you will be facilitating a luxury delivery experience. You will utilize a company Box Truck and deliver based on predetermined route provided by dispatch daily.

You will be responsible for interacting with the delivery team, offering customer support while face to face in the home. This role will require a highly accountable individual who is self-motivated, organized, and can effectively communicate in order to serve the needs of our customers in the moment.

Role Responsibilities

· Work with a delivery partner mostly in teams to deliver a variety of furniture items into the homes and businesses of our customers

· Safely load and unload furniture from the warehouse into the delivery vehicle

· Lift and move furniture into residential locations safely and with care

· Unpack and assemble furniture and household accessories

· Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

· Provide professional and friendly customer engagement and communication

· Adhere to routes and delivery schedules

· Physically verify that all items are correct per PO number in your provided outbound manifest

· Assemble product to manufacturers specifications

· General working knowledge of small hand tools, screwdriver, socket set and ratchet, etc.. as well as power drills

· Ability to understand and interpret schematic assembly instructions

· Provide leadership and interact with the delivery team and partners to ensure all standards and processes are met and provide coaching and feedback, as needed

· Provide guidance and feedback to clients on additional product suggestions based on the needs of the client and in partnership with Interior Designers

· Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times

· Provide exceptional White Glove Service

· Ensure total customer satisfaction

· Communicate in a timely and professional manner with other team members, Dispatcher and Supervisor

· Operate delivery system on smart phone. Including taking photos of installed furniture, reporting damages, and making clear notes on every delivery

· Provide support in warehouse if ever needed when not out on deliveries

· Work independently and in a challenging often time-sensitive environment

Required Skills

• 1 years of professional box truck driving experience
• 1 years of experience in customer service
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and have a clean driving record for the last three years
• Reliable, flexible schedule, and have the ability to meet the demands of the business with a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently or with little supervision
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Excellent English communication skills
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail
• Sense of pride and urgency

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel overnight to Austin ,Dallas and other areas of Texas in company truck making scheduled deliveries.
• Ability to lift and move small to medium items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate safety techniques'

Duties
- Drive to various locations to deliver and install furniture
- Load and unload furniture from box trucks
- Assemble and install furniture according to specifications
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and installation processes
- Utilize pallet jacks and other equipment for moving furniture
- Perform heavy lifting as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week
