*Duties*
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and conducting preliminary tests.
- Perform various diagnostic tests including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, and retinal imaging.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients on contact lens care, eyewear options, and post-examination instructions.
- Manage inventory of optical supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are sanitized and functioning properly.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a retail environment while assisting patients with their eyewear selections.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
*Experience*
- Previous experience as an Optometric Technician or in a similar role within a medical office is preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR systems is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to the eye and vision.
- Experience with optometry practices is beneficial.
- Proficiency in managing medical records and optical systems is essential.
- Basic understanding of retail is a plus.
