Job Summary:
PRO Pallet LLC is seeking a Saw Operator to operate a Holtec saw for our pallet manufacturing process. This is a seasonal to permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow within our company. The Saw Operator will be responsible for ensuring that the saw operates efficiently, safely, and within the production guidelines. This is a key role in ensuring that pallet components are cut to specifications for further assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Holtec saw efficiently and safely to cut pallet components to precise dimensions.
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal production speeds and ensure the saw is cutting within specifications.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality assurance, making sure that the cuts are clean and meet company standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on the saw equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with supervisor to meet daily and weekly production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and company policies.
- Ensure that all records related to production and machine performance are accurately documented.
- Sit-Down forklift experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating saw equipment (especially Holtec) is a required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues with the saw.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet production deadlines.
- Sit-Down forklift experience is a plus.
Job Requirements:
Starting pay: $14/hour, with opportunities for pay increases based on performance and experience.
This position is seasonal, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.
